Paddle Through History

Explore the same waters that the Corps of Discovery navigated over 200 years ago.

When you launch a kayak from Lund's Landing, you are paddling through the same areas that Meriwether Lewis and William Clark explored during their historic expedition. The landscape along these shores has changed little since the early 1800s, and the sense of discovery is still very much alive.

The colorful buttes, quiet inlets, and abundant wildlife along the shoreline provide the same sense of wonder that captivated the original explorers. As you paddle, keep an eye out for eagles, hawks, deer, and the many species of songbirds that call this area home.

Connect your paddling adventure with a hike on our Lewis & Clark interpretive trail and the nearby Tipi Trail for the full historical experience.
