You can catch trophy Walleye averaging in size from 3-8 lbs (23"-32") with larger ones waiting to be discovered. As the water warms up in the summer months, the walleye venture throughout the main lake and can be found in plentiful bounty. If trophy walleye fishing is your mark, Lake Sakakawea will deliver.

Tackle - Count down and rattlin rapellas, shad raps, jigs with twister tails, lindy style rigs, spinner blades with fat head minnows, ie....crawlers and leeches.
